Wandering

Gettin' home on the 9:30 flight, sun's not out again.
wind blows cold and wet.
Looks like it's gonna be another night
in Mekoryuk, Nunavak Island, Alaska

Sun circles around the horizon
gonna have to see it for yourself
I don't remember all of the reasons but,
on June 21, there will be, 24 hours of daylight.

All of those who wander are not lost,
all those who travel are not free
All that glitters, like gold, may not
may not be what it seems.

I have awoken in the shadow of Denali,
and spent my day in awe and shame.

Crazy Life by Io

3:20 minutes (6.11 MB)

This is a crazy life that we're livin', yeah
this is a crazy life that I don't understand.
There's somethings that seem to make so much sense.
somethings they overwhelm.

an' I've been tryin' to make some sense of my life
an' I've been lucky in life, I know.

I watch the clouds gather in the distance,
an' I prepare myself for the storm,
but don't you run away baby, the sun..
said the sun will break free eventually,
said the sun will break free eventually, I know

This is a crazy life that we're living, yeah
This is a crazy life that I don't understand.

Today

So today, any random day in your life, my friend
pickin' and choosin' your own way
snow may be falling to the ground, or maybe
your sitting on a beach, baskin' in the sun, I don't know, oh, oh

yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
oh, oh, yeah, yeah

Colorado rocky mountain sunshine, hey yeah
appalacian trail in the spring
Kenai peninsula is callin' my name
feel like I want to put my back against a redwood tree
and jump in the sea>
whoa, yeah, hey yeah, you and I
friends said we'll make it through another day, whoa, oh

Cycles repeat themselves anyway, anyway,
yeah, yeah hey hey,

Io Live at the Koffeehaus 03-18-1995

94:45 minutes (173.51 MB)

This is a recording Aaron and I did as Io in 1995. We played a little local coffee shop known as the Koffeehaus, in Marquette, Michigan, where we were both living at the time.

The recording is not the best quality, as it was recorded straight to a little portable cassette recorder with a built in microphone. I tried to fix it up as best I could with my limited resources.
